Conservation framing

This is a term we use when describing a standard of framing that helps to preserve your artwork in a stable environment to reduce the risk of environmental damage over time.

At The Workshop we use the Bainbridge alpharag range, this range is made with cotton rag. 

Our backing board for hinged works is artcare archival foamboard, a product which actively draws away contaminants from your artwork.

We also offer a full range of glazing products including; museum glass, uv blocking conservation clear or reflection control. We recommend for any work where a degree of protection from fading is required that these types of uv blocking glazing products are used.
